About Graham

A regular worshiper at St. Matthew’s, Graham carried out a quiet stewardship of the Church. He was a long-standing member of the PCC., and also Church Warden for a period of time, for Revd David Smith with Ken Williamson and Revd Max Ramsey with Chris Howath.

Carrying out various maintenance tasks throughout the church. One task Graham completed (using his talent as a carpenter), at the instigation of the Bishop of Chester, was the fitting of the glass panels on the inner front doors of the church, this project was funded by the Hughes family.

Graham also carried out a lot of maintenance in the church hall, fitting cupboards, sanding and polishing the floor and assisting Revd Max in fitting the original kitchen.

Graham was a member of the men’s fellowship and also enjoyed supporting the church family’s social activities, he was regular member of the bible study groups through the years which he also thoroughly enjoyed.

Graham, along with Barbara carried out a lot of research into the history of St. Matthew’s Church, finally producing ‘The Brief History of St. Matthew’s Church’ booklet.
