Hasn't it been a lovely warm spring week?
Please find attached YWOW for 7th Sunday of Easter.
Thank you to everyone who met with me for Meeting God and the Movies, and for your great insights, I hugely enjoyed it and hope you did too.
Please remember that it is the Haslington Village Fete on Saturday, starting at 11.00am. St Matthew's will be open, for crafts and looking at the church registers.
This Sunday is our first, "Cafe Church - Open Table", 4.00pm in St Matthew's church hall, we're celebrating "The Blessing of Animals". Please bring an animal or a photo/picture of an animal. Everyone from across the Benefice is welcome. Please think about bringing a friend, it would be suitable for people who'd like to begin to explore matters of faith in a relaxed and easygoing way.
We are also starting a new bible study, based on the series about Jesus, "The Chosen". The Chosen was originally crowd funded,and it tells about the life, teaching, death and resurrection of Jesus, by bringing together the 4 gospel accounts and trying to see Jesus through the eyes of people who knew him well. It looks very interesting and the study material looks very good. Please join me, at the Vicarage, (163 Crewe Road, Haslington), on the Thursdays during July, at 7.00pm. If we're really enjoying the film "The Chosen" and the study guide, then we can arrange more evenings. I hope to see you.
